It is deep regret and sadness that we have to announce the departure of John Richardson from the Radio Noize managerial team. John was one of the two key players in the summer re-development of the station and will be missed sorely. John contributed endless hours, morning noon and night, without which the station would not have got off to the flying start that it has had this autumn. Last week though, due to unforeseen circumstances, John announced to the rest of the media team that he would no longer be able to undertake the position that he held as co-station manager. The media committee has undertaken a position that a temporary technical assistant will be put in place, but no firm decision on the future of the position will be confirmed until after the upcoming Media Committee on the 6th November.

Yesterday we had an awesome band in the studio live with us. They performed some awesome exclusive acoustic tracks and have given us some merchandise to give away next week! Coming next week will be the great video interview with Fitz that was pre-recorded with the band. Check out the video for a sneak peak at the video for the forthcoming single!

What an awesome night! The BBQ was awesome and was a great sucess, the evening went on till long past it's original stop time. Hopefully we can do it again soon some time! Here's some photo's from last nights mayhem!

Well it’s been a long slog but the start is nearly in sight for Radio Noize. Basically this week we will be running some tests to check all the new kit in the studio is functioning as we installed it a few week’s ago and then set about updating the music catalogue of the system so that all the latest hit’s are on the system. We will be re-launching the live broadcasting of the station on Sunday the 20th of September at the Radio Noize BBQ. It’s a free event and everyone is welcome to come along have some fun and get to know loads of new people!

Well what can I say? The summer break is almost over now, just 3-4 weeks before we’re back into the action, and it’s flown past. John & I have been on campus at least once a week throughout the summer, sometimes several days in a row and even once we were in at 8am! But we think the effort has been worth it, we’ve put a lot of effort in to hopefully make this year the best year the radio has ever had! We’re going to take it to a level that it’s never seen before, well at least that’s the plan...
At the time of writing this blog I should probably be putting the finishing touches on the website but thought this was more important. Plus there is extra pressure on us to get it finished in the next day or two because John & I are off to Leeds Festival on Wednesday to report for the station.
Well, I had better get back to finishing the site. Keep checking back to this blog to get the latest news from the station, the music world and our if random but sometimes amusing ramblings!
