What do human rights mean to you?
Newport University Amnesty International group is a student group of Amnesty UK and part of the world wide movement to campaign against human rights abuse. Relatively a new group, we will be hold regular meetings, to discuss and campaign against human rights abuse by raising awareness of campaigns with letter writing and holding fund raising events.
We are a very friendly and supportive group and welcome anyone who is interested in joining or just coming alone to the meeting’s. We hope to be very busy this year with regular mettings, film screenings, fund raising and social events. We believe that together we can work to stop injustice, fight for fairness in the world where it is threatened and in so doing help to make the world a better place.
We hope to kick start this year with a Forbidden Music concert which will be the first of many fun things we be doing this year.
